Dr. Pitts was born and raised in Alabama and moved to Michigan over 30 years ago. She is married with two children and a lovable Yorkie Poodle named “Kobe”. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and sitting on sandy beaches enjoying a great book. As an educator, she takes pride in establishing strong relationships, working tirelessly, and providing students and educators with opportunities to display their strengths and talents. She continues to strive to become better each day in her career to serve the community of today and tomorrow.
Dr. Pitts is a dedicated transformational leader that is passionate about education. Her primary focus is to provide a stellar education to all students, families, and communities in the Wayne-Western Area. She has a wealth of experience in leadership, curriculum, and instruction. She considers herself to be a dream developer. She believes that with hard work and perseverance, educators can touch a child in a unique way that can be life-changing. She took the oath to give back to society and build a community of people with integrity, morals, and ethics to be productive citizens of America.
Dr. Pitts has been in education for over 25 years in many capacities. She received her education from the University of Detroit Mercy, University of Michigan, and Walden University in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Administration in Leadership. She holds a professional teaching certification in K-8 and a School Administration Certification in K-12.
